Here's a happy kid who got to look in the dishwasher longer than normal because Mama went and grabbed the camera. He really looks like some of Michael's baby photos in this picture.

Earthday Tree and Placenta Planting
These are actually photos from over a week ago- the weekend before Earth day. To celebrate earth day we planted a crab apple tree in our front yard. We also *finally* planted the boys placentas with it. Michael and I each wrote notes about what we want for the boys and planted them too.

He DID tell me he was tired...
And he actually told me he was going to sleep on the chair. I just didn't believe he would. The it got real quiet while Leland and I were in the bedroom folding clothes, and when I investigated I found this-

Sleeping Kids
I once thought I took too many pictures of my kids sleeping. Then I looked through my photos, and I wished I had more.

I think we use them when we just cannot find the perfect words to describe how full our hearts feel. When I see these guys asleep, safe and cozy, all seems right in the world.

Below you can see a rock in James' hand. His Papa brought it home for him, and we decided to read "Everyone Needs a Rock" as a bedtime story, then he fell asleep with his rock in hand, and asked to take it to bed with him the next night too.

We're often struck by the boys similarities when they're alseep next to each other.
Leland takes most of his naps in my craft room in a wooden sled that my Grandfather built. I'm not sure if it's ever been used in the snow, but my sister Zoe slept in it when she was a baby too.
James chooses all sorts of things to snuggle with at nap time. Sometimes we go through a few days where his animals are required to have diapers on before bed.
If Jamie winds up coming to our bed at night sometimes I can sneak out of bed before either of them are up. However, if Leland wakes up and sees James there he usually gets so excited that he wakes up Jamie too with his squealing.
