Leland is showing us all sorts of new and exciting things he can do lately. He's delighted with his new ability to stand up from a squat and will stop randomly, mid-crawl, to stand up, down, up down, a few times. He's trying hard to communicate and has been trying out signs like "all done" "up" and "EAT!" (fingers pointing desperately towards hungry mouth). He's been getting into playing little games (like peekaboo) with us, and he mimics everything. Of course, the mimicking isn't new, it's just that he's really gaining more control lately to try out more complicated movement- hair brushing, wanting to put on his own shoe, and buckle his own car seat. For now he's very good natured about being helped with these actions, I hope that lasts. He was SOOoo clingy for the past couple months, and it seems he's getting much happier again. He must have been working up to all his new skills!
